Attorneys Eliezer Cohen and Michael Wilcox obtain favorable verdict in breach of contract matter after quick jury deliberation.

Gavrilov & Brooks attorneys Eliezer Cohen and Michael Wilcox obtained an unanimous jury verdict for three separate breach of contract claims in a Placer County case.  They obtained an initial verdict of about $360,000, which was the full amount requested at trial.  The defendant refused to make a settlement offer on the primary breach of contract claim throughout the case.  Mr. Cohen also obtained a judgment better than the statutory offer he made prior to trial, entitling the client to expert fees on top of the judgment. The judgment is expected to increase to more than $500,000 after pre-judgment interest, costs, and fees are included.
