
J. Edward Brooks is a founding partner of Gavrilov & Brooks. He began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney before transitioning to civil litigation in 2009. Mr. Brooks has conducted nearly 40 jury trials and over 100 administrative hearings, representing clients in the transportation, healthcare, agriculture and financial industries, with a focus on employment law in wage and hour, discrimination, harassment and retaliation, and class actions. He chairs the employment law and class action departments for Gavrilov & Brooks.
Mr. Brooks also provides transactional work for clients in employment law and business transactions. Using his extensive litigation experience, he routinely counsels businesses and employers to ensure compliance with California’s ever changing legal landscape.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Brooks taught high school and coached varsity soccer for 10 years in Arizona, twice being named East Valley Boy’s Soccer Coach of the Year.
