Before joining Gavrilov & Brooks, Billy served as General Counsel for A3 Ventures, where he oversaw all legal aspects of AAA’s venture capital fund and technology incubator. In this role, he guided startup investments and strategic partnerships, implementing corporate structures designed to facilitate growth while maintaining rigorous tax oversight. Prior to that, he was the Legal Director for Global Mergers & Acquisitions at eBay Inc., managing large-scale domestic and international transactions that required careful coordination of corporate governance, tax compliance, and cross-border regulatory considerations.
Billy also practiced at Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP, a leading authority in real estate and finance law, where he was part of the Equity Finance Group. His work there involved counseling clients on structuring capital raises and joint ventures with an emphasis on tax efficiencies. Earlier in his career, he honed his transactional skills at White & Case LLP, a globally renowned law firm consistently recognized for its elite M&A and equity finance practice.
