Keith Johnson prior to joining Gavrilov & Brooks as of counsel in 2024, he was of counsel to Goodin, MacBride, Squeri, Day & Lamprey, LLP, where he worked with the commercial litigation team from 1999 to 2022.

His practice included whistleblower/qui tam, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, product liability, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, director and officer liability, and white-collar defense cases, and appeals.  Thereafter, he was of counsel with the Law Offices of Robert A. Goodin.  

Previously, Mr. Johnson was a partner with Goforth, Lewis & Williams, LLP, in Houston, Texas, focusing on commercial, products liability, medical malpractice, toxic tort, personal injury, bankruptcy, intellectual property, and employment discrimination cases, and appeals throughout the State of Texas (he is licensed to practice law in California and Texas (presently inactive)).  

Mr. Johnson graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in journalism, and pursued graduate work in English at Rice University and the University of Houston, completing a Master of Arts degree there.  He obtained his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where he served as editor of Legalese and received the Distinguished Service Award.

Prior to the law, Mr. Johnson worked in advertising, as a newspaper reporter and editor, and as a public relations writer/editor. 

He is a long-time volunteer with the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Consumer Debt Defense and Education Clinic and with Swords to Plowshares, helping veterans obtain their Veterans Administration benefits.
