
Since joining Gavrilov & Brooks, Mr. Mikkola has served clients in probate, trademark, franchise law, and general civil litigation matters.
Mr. Mikkola manages the firm’s intellectual property, trademark, copyright, and franchise law practice areas. Mr. Mikkola takes cases from inception to conclusion by way of dispositive motion or trial. He has handled numerous mediations, arbitrations and jury trials in both the probate and general civil litigation arenas covering a myriad of issues and claims. Mr. Mikkola’s practice also includes advising and assisting clients in forming and winding up corporate entities and partnerships, and evaluating and avoiding risk.
Mr. Mikkola brings a unique international perspective to his law practice. His experience includes working in Beirut, Lebanon for the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia as a Political Analyst in the Emerging and Conflict Related Issues Department, and serving on active duty in the Finnish Defense Forces as a Communications Specialist in 2008, and then as a reservist through 2018.
